The story of Fitrah Food Manufacturing Sdn. Bhd. began in 2000, when two brothers, Abdullah and Hashim, shared a vision of bringing authentic Malaysian traditional beverages to a wider audience. Armed with determination, industry knowledge, and a passion for quality, they started the business on a modest scale with the belief that great products could be built on trust, consistency, and hard work. 

 

In the early years, Fitrah's products were sold directly at schools, factory cafeterias, food events, and community gatherings. Abdullah and Hashim personally introduced their products to customers, listening carefully to their feedback and continuously refining their recipes. Their commitment to quality and genuine customer service gradually earned the trust and loyalty of consumers. 

 

A defining milestone came in 2006, when Fitrah successfully secured its first major retail listing with Mydin, one of Malaysia's leading supermarket chains. This achievement, however, did not come easily. 

 

Believing wholeheartedly in the quality of Fitrah's products, Hashim, Co-Founder of Fitrah, personally conducted daily product sampling sessions outside Mydin outlets. Day after day, he introduced customers to Fitrah's beverages, encouraging them to experience the authentic taste and quality firsthand. His perseverance, dedication, and unwavering belief in the brand eventually caught the attention of Mydin's management. 

 

Fitrah's products quickly gained popularity among Mydin shoppers. Strong sales performance demonstrated that a homegrown Malaysian brand could successfully compete in the modern retail market. The success at Mydin soon attracted the interest of other supermarket chains, many of which approached Fitrah after witnessing the growing demand for its products. 

 

Driven by continuous innovation and his extensive experience in the food industry, Hashim led the development of Fitrah's signature range of grass jelly (cincau) beverages. Combining traditional recipes with modern food manufacturing expertise, he created products that offered authentic taste, consistent quality, and convenience for today's consumers. These innovations became a key differentiator for the Fitrah brand. Building on its success in supermarkets, Fitrah continued expanding its distribution network and later secured listings at PETRONAS service stations, making its products even more accessible to consumers throughout Malaysia. 

 

Today, Fitrah Food Manufacturing Sdn. Bhd. manufactures a diverse portfolio of grass jelly beverages, traditional herbal drinks, and functional beverages, combining heritage, innovation, and modern manufacturing excellence. In addition to its own brands, the company also provides OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturing) services, partnering with businesses and entrepreneurs to develop high-quality food and beverage products under their own brands.
